Kidzmondo Doha has received training and certification in autism, making them the first Certified Autism Center™ in the Middle East. This designation demonstrates Kidzmondo’s commitment to providing the best service possible to all guests. The Certified Autism Center™ program from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education helps ensure that staff have the training, tools, and skills needed to work with guests with autism and other sensory needs. As part of the Certified Autism Center™ program, KidzMondo Doha also will also receive an onsite audit by IBCCES that will allow them to provide their guests with sensory guides, pre-travel planning tools and other resources to ensure that their visit is a success.

Brain Balance Achievement Centers in Southlake, Mansfield and Katy, Texas announced today they have all earned the designation of Board-Certified Cognitive Center (BCCC), granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Visit Mesa Rolls Out Welcome Mat to the Autism Community, Invites Visitors from Across the Country
MESA, ARIZ. (November 18, 2019) – Mesa is the first-ever Autism Certified City in the U.S. designated by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), raising the profile of the East Valley city to millions of individuals with autism and millions of annual travelers impacted by autism. The innovative initiative is expected to raise the national profile of the city and inject a new source of visitor dollars to the region.

Island H2O Live! has earned the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation, granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). The certification demonstrates the park’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for guests with autism and other sensory disorders.
To receive the CAC designation, Island H2O Live! staff completed autism sensitivity and awareness training to learn how to better communicate and engage with guests with sensory needs and their family members, as well as safety concerns and protocols. The park also completed an onsite review from IBCCES to further enhance the guest experience, including sensory guides which will be provided for visitors to better understand sensory impacts of all rides.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach has completed the process to become a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), a designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES.) This credential demonstrates the organization’s commitment to ensuring guests with autism and sensory sensitivities have the best possible experience, as well as a commitment to ongoing training.

UNO Parks received the 2019 Best Social Initiative Award from the European Union as a result of becoming the first Certified Autism Center™ in Europe. Since becoming a Certified Autism Center™, UNO Park now understands how to better understand and serve their guests with special needs. The certification boosted company morale and empowered the staff to provide better service for all guests. The training process was quick, easily accessible, full of interesting insights as well as very practical. The recommendations after the onsite visit were extremely helpful and the team is working now on the implementation of these recommendations, which will be done for the next season.

Sheraton Mesa Hotel joins a growing number of hotels in Arizona and across the nation that are obtaining certification. This movement toward inclusion in Mesa, AZ, and the surrounding area was inspired by the work of Visit Mesa and that City’s goal to become the most autism inclusive destination in the world.
