Atlantis Aquaventure, the world’s largest waterpark, proudly announces that it has earned the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This certification marks the first-ever for a waterpark in the Middle East and reflects the team’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional experiences to guests with diverse needs and ensuring an inclusive environment for all.
Courtyard by Marriott High Point joins the growing list of autism-certified locations in High Point by earning the Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) designation. This designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that have met requirements and completed a staff training program to better understand and assist autistic and sensory- sensitive visitors. In addition to training, IBCCES also conducted an onsite review to provide additional recommendations to better serve and accommodate guests.Â
The Wingate by Wyndham Sylvania/Toledo is now a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), and the first hotel in the Toledo area to earn this designation, which is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). The hotel joins a growing movement initiated by Destination Toledo to attract more travelers to the destination. To meet CAC requirements, staff completed training and certification to better assist and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors and their families.
Pikeville Medical Center (PMC) is pleased to announce two departments located at the PMC Urgent Care and Family Wellness Center have been designated as Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). Both the Urgent Care Center staff and the Pediatrics department, which includes three dedicated pediatricians and their staff, are proud to be the newest PMC location to earn the CAC certification.Â
This certification ensures PMC employees in these areas have received extensive training and are equipped to offer comprehensive care to patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).Â
Denver Zoo in Colorado is celebrating earning the Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ designation, making it the first zoo in Colorado to achieve this status. This designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors and their families. IBCCES also conducted an onsite review to provide additional ways the Zoo can accommodate visitors and create detailed sensory guides for each exhibit as part of the certification process.
