Sharifa Yateem Center for Rehabilitation is the first therapy center to become a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) in Abu Dhabi. The CAC designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) and requires staff complete autism-specific training and certification to ensure they can better assist and serve their autistic clients.
Destination Toledo has earned the Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), a designation granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that have completed autism-specific training and certification in order to better understand and welcome autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors and their families. Destination Toledo’s CAC certification is the first step in the organization’s initiative to help Toledo achieve the designation of Certified Autism Destination (CAD)to attract new visitors to the area and expand accessibility offerings.
The Valentine Theatre is now a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), a credential awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). To meet certification requirement, Theatre staff and volunteers completed training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors.

A good support system is utterly essential in helping someone cope with depression. While the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) reports that 17.3 million American adults (a little over 7% of the population) struggle with a major depressive disorder each year, those struggles can be greatly mitigated by the care and attention of friends, family, counselors, medical professionals, and clergy. For the 2.2 million youth (amounting to 9.2% in 2020) who also struggle with depression, these support systems can work wonders in preventing substance use, suicidal episodes, and other comorbid mental and physical health issues.
High Point Library Children’s Department is now a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC), a designation awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive guests and their families. In addition to staff training, IBCCES also conducted an onsite review to provide additional recommendations on how to better welcome and accommodate visitors.
The Redmond Police Department is now the first police department in Washington state to earn the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation which is granted by The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations who complete autism training and certification programs. The training completed by the Department is designed to enhance officers’ knowledge and ability to assist and communicate with autistic or sensory-sensitive community members.
