Valley Oaks Golf Course is the first of its kind to become a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢(CAC) in California. The CAC designation is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete position-specific training and certification to help staff better communicate and serve all guests and those with sensory differences.

The Paoli Fire Company has become the first fire company in Pennsylvania to receive the Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ designation. This designation is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), which means the public-facing staff and firefighters at Paoli Fire Company have received training through IBCCES to better understand and assist autistic individuals or those with sensory sensitivities. The program was designed to provide staff with scenario-based suggestions to de-escalate and communicate effectively with individuals who need their assistance.
ORLANDO, Fla. – November 17, 2021 – A new option is available for attractions looking to streamline their accommodations processes and make it more efficient for guests who need those accommodations. The Accessibility Card (IAC), created by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), was designed to help amusement parks and attractions better serve their guests who may need additional supports while discouraging abuse, alleviating staffing demands, and helping ease the onsite experience for visitors. IBCCES is also launching an accompanying app on Google and Apple app stores on February 1, 2022.
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (Nov. 16, 2021) — The World’s First Peppa Pig Theme Park will open as a Certified Autism Center when the park debuts on February 24, 2022. The new park shared this commitment along with a reveal of its newly designed ride vehicle to media at the IAAPA Expo today.
A full Accessibility Guide is also in development for all the park’s oinktastic experiences, including its six rides, six themed playscapes and water play area.
