The Valentine Theatre is now a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), a credential awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). To meet certification requirement, Theatre staff and volunteers completed training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors.
The Redmond Police Department is now the first police department in Washington state to earn the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation which is granted by The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations who complete autism training and certification programs. The training completed by the Department is designed to enhance officers’ knowledge and ability to assist and communicate with autistic or sensory-sensitive community members.
12 West Brewing is now a Certified Autism Center (CAC), a designation granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). 12 West joins over 30 organizations in the Mesa area that have completed this program as part of the city’s Autism Certified City designation.
Never Quit Dreaming (NQD), a nonprofit that creates recreational activities for children of various abilities, becomes Hawaii’s first Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC). The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) awards the CAC designation to organizations that complete autism-specific training and certification through IBCCES to help staff and volunteers better communicate and assist autistic or sensory-sensitive individuals.
The Peoria Public Library Main Branch and Sunrise Mountain locations have earned Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) designations, which are granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). The CAC program offers autism training and certification to staff and volunteers, in order to better assist autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals during their visit to one of these library locations.Â
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum (NCWHM) is now the first museum in Oklahoma to earn the Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) designation, which is granted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). The CAC is awarded to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and assist autistic or sensory-sensitive individuals and their families during their museum visit. As part of certification, IBCCES also conducted an onsite review to provide additional recommendations on how the Museum can accommodate visitors and created sensory guides for each exhibit to help visitors understand the detailed sensory impact of each area.
ZooMontana is now a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), a designation awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors and their families. IBCCES will also conduct an onsite review to provide additional ways the Zoo can accommodate visitors and create detailed sensory guides for each exhibit as part of the certification process.
Visalia Adventure Park is now a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC), a designation awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that complete training and certification to better understand and welcome autistic or sensory-sensitive visitors and their families. As part of the certification process, IBCCES will also conduct an onsite review to provide additional options and insights for the Park to accommodate visitor needs and create sensory guides for each attraction
The Smart Place has continuously worked to enhance its service to the autism community since the initial designation as a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢(CAC)Â in 2019, which made it one of the only autism certified organizations in the state of Georgia and the first in Dekalb County to attain the CAC designation!
Farmer Bob’s World at McKellar Family Farms becomes the newest autism-certified location in Visalia by earning the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation. The CAC certification is awarded by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to organizations that have met requirements and completed a staff training program to better understand and assist autistic and sensory-sensitive visitors.
